A meeting with the families of martyrs and veterans of the Great Patriotic War was organized by the Law Faculty of Baku State University (BSU).

First of all, the memory of the sons of the Fatherland who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of our country was commemorated.

Jabir Guliyev, acting dean of the law faculty, spoke about the importance of the measures taken to perpetuate the memory of university graduates and students killed in the Great Patriotic War, BSU told AZERTAC . He noted that the families of martyrs and veterans are covered by the comprehensive attention and care of our state.

Professor Amir Aliyev paid tribute to the memory of our martyrs and veterans who showed real heroism in the liberation of our lands from the enemy. He stressed that they showed great patriotism and made great sacrifices in liberating the oil from the enemy for 44 days.

Head of the Department of Civil Law Mahabbat Demirchiyeva, Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology Shahla Samadova, Associate Professor of International Special Law and European Law Novruz Mehdiyev, Associate Professor of Civil Procedure and Commercial Law Asmar Aliyeva, graduate of the faculty, martyr Jeyhun Shaliyev’s aunt Rena Mammadova They spoke about the glorious victory we won. Speakers stressed that under the leadership of President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army put an end to 30 years of longing for the homeland by liberating our lands from occupation.

Veterans of the Great Patriotic War, graduates of the faculty Gafar Nazarov, Shamil Abbasov, Agadadash Dadashzade, Togrul Kazimli, Kanan Gureyishov, student of the faculty Shamo Ismayilbeyli spoke about their battle path.

A video dedicated to our glorious victory in the Great Patriotic War was shown at the event.

At the end, the second-year student of the faculty Javid Mirzazadeh spoke on behalf of the students of the faculty and sang his poem “Flag”.
