A seminar conference on the theme “Occupational safety is a system that protects the lives and health of workers in the work process” was organized by the State Agency for Safe Work in Industry and Mining Control of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Salyan city. The seminar-conference aimed at analyzing the provision of technical safety in potentially hazardous industrial enterprises and taking preventive-prophylactic measures.

The event was attended by the employees of the State Agency for Safe Work in Industry and Mining Control, representatives of local executive authorities operating in the area covered by the MES Mughan Regional Center, businessmen of various industries.

Deputy Chief of the MES State Agency for Safe Working in Industry and Mountain-Mining Control Piri Guluzade spoke about the importance of the progressive economic policy pursued under the wise leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and emphasized special attention and care of the head of state for entrepreneurs, including businessmen from various industries. Noting the importance of ensuring technical safety at industrial enterprises, P.Guluzade stressed the need to take preventive measures in this sphere.

Head of Analytical Information, Processing of Normative Technical Documents and Patent Department of Azerbaijan State Scientific-Research Institute for Labor Protection and Safety Techniques of Agency Vugar Khalilov talked about the major directions in systematic investigation of industrial safety and ensuring technical safety, gave information about the rules, guidelines, normative-technical documents used in regulating technical safety in the industry.

Chief of the Inspectorate for Control over Safe Working at Boiler, Lifting and Energy installations of the Agency Sahil Mansimov, Chief of the Inspectorate for Control over Safe Working in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Oil and Gas Processing Industry Eltun Hasanov, Chief of the Inspectorate for Subsoil Protection and Mining Control Shahin Gachabayov, Acting Chief of the Inspectorate for Control over Safe Working at Liquid and Natural Gas Facilities Eldar Ahmadov, Head of the Department of the State Register of Potentially Dangerous Facilities Namik Ismayilov and other speakers made speeches on the existing problems regarding technical safety, made proposals on preventive-prophylactic measures.

In the end, views were exchanged on the topic and questions were answered.
