Mexican Ambassador Praises Azerbaijan’s Success in Hosting WUF13

Baku: Mexican Ambassador to Azerbaijan Maria Victoria Romero Caballero expressed high praise for Azerbaijan's ability to organize major international events, highlighting the World Urban Forum 13 (WUF13) as a prime example of this success. "This is a very special forum. Mexico has participated in many major events in Azerbaijan, but this event is particularly important," she told journalists during the event.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ambassador emphasized the significance of the large Mexican delegation present at the forum and noted the importance of the upcoming transition of the World Urban Forum to Mexico City. This transition provides a unique opportunity for cultural and experiential exchange, allowing Azerbaijan to gain insights into Mexico City's urban planning and culture.

Ambassador Caballero highlighted the pride and enthusiasm of Mexico in having a pavilion at the forum. The pavilion showcases Mexico City's urban planning initiatives and elements of ancient Mexican culture. The ambassador noted the inclusion of cultural presentations, such as traditional dancers, aiming to offer visitors an immersive experience. "We hope you will have the opportunity to visit our pavilion and become acquainted with the work Mexico City is carrying out in the field of urbanism," she added.
