Department Head Highlights Azerbaijan’s Major Contribution to Kahramanmaras Reconstruction

Kahramanmaras: Azerbaijan has played a pivotal role in the reconstruction efforts in Kahramanmaras, where significant developments have been made to restore the area. The Azerbaijani state's support has led to the construction of 1,223 apartments, 1,789 commercial facilities, a cultural center, and a primary school, according to Ahmet Kutlu Gayretli, Head of the Mass Housing Projects and Research Department. These developments were discussed during a session on urban planning at the Turkish pavilion as part of WUF13.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ahmet Kutlu Gayretli outlined the establishment of the Azerbaijan neighborhood in Kahramanmaras, which includes a variety of facilities such as commercial spaces, offices, a gym, and a shopping mall. The neighborhood also houses the Heydar Aliyev School, contributing to the area's educational infrastructure. Gayretli noted that the neighborhood has become one of the most attractive and developed areas within the Kahramanmaras province.

The department head underscored the significant role that the Azerbaijani state has played in the success of this reconstruction project, marking it as a major contribution to the region's development efforts.
