Mexico to Prepare for 14th World Urban Forum with Focus on Success

Baku: Mexico is gearing up to host the 14th session of the World Urban Forum, with a commitment to match the success of the previous session held in Baku. Ambassador of Mexico to Azerbaijan, Maria Victoria Romero Caballero, announced this initiative at the official closing press conference of WUF13.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ambassador Caballero emphasized the dedication of the Mexican delegation as they return to their country, inspired by the hospitality experienced in Azerbaijan. The ambassador highlighted the active participation of young Azerbaijani men and women who assisted the Mexican delegation by guiding them and taking notes during the forum.

The Government of Mexico City, in collaboration with UN-Habitat, will spearhead the coordination efforts for WUF14. This cooperation will focus on developing governance models, strategic directions, and mechanisms for collaboration with various stakeholders.

Ambassador Caballero extended congratulations to Azerbaijan for the successful organization of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum, acknowledging their efforts and hospitality.
