MFA: 195 Azerbaijani Citizens in Abu Dhabi and Dubai Being Evacuated

Abu dhabi: Based on the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, another evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens who remained in the cities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates due to the war situation in the Middle East has been carried out to Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan told APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, over the past few days, efforts by the Azerbaijani Embassy in the United Arab Emirates and the Consulate General in Dubai facilitated the registration of citizens wishing to return to Azerbaijan. The registered citizens were then transported by special buses, organized by the diplomatic missions, to an airport in Oman. From there, they boarded a special flight operated by Azerbaijan Airlines destined for Azerbaijan.

In total, 195 Azerbaijani citizens, alongside 1 Turkish citizen and 2 foreign citizens holding residence permits in Azerbaijan, are being repatriated on this flight. The Ministry stressed that the situation in the region is being closely monitored, and the safety of Azerbaijani citizens remains a priority.
