Baku: Renowned journalist and Baku native Mikhail Gusman expressed his gratitude to his alma mater, the Azerbaijan University of Languages, for awarding him the title of Honorary Professor. In an interview with AZERTAC, Gusman shared his appreciation for the institution where he received his education and his mother dedicated her career.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Gusman emphasized the significant role the university has played in his life, describing it as his true alma mater. He graduated with honors and has maintained a strong relationship with the institution, frequently engaging with students and participating in various academic activities. Upon receiving the honorary title, Gusman assured Rector Kamal Abdulla and the university staff of his continued commitment to supporting the university both symbolically and practically.
Gusman also discussed Azerbaijan's growing presence in international media and journalism, crediting this to the policies of President Ilham Aliyev. He noted Azerbaijan's increasing global visibility and the expanding influence of its media. He praised AZERTAC for its active involvement in major international media organizations and highlighted its role in representing Azerbaijan on the world stage. Gusman remarked that AZERTAC effectively conveys the country's perspective to the international community and is well-respected globally.
