Baku: Azerbaijan and Slovakia have elevated their bilateral relations to the level of a strategic partnership, according to Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova. During a joint press conference with Richard Ra‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬¦¡i, Speaker of the National Council of Slovakia, on May 13, Gafarova highlighted the integral role of inter-parliamentary cooperation in the relationship between the two nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Gafarova emphasized the successful cooperation already in place across various sectors, including the economy, trade, energy, and the defense industry. She noted the significant potential for further expansion in other areas and mentioned ongoing efforts to enhance the treaty-legal framework between Azerbaijan and Slovakia. Additionally, she underscored the importance of humanitarian cooperation in strengthening the ties between the Azerbaijani and Slovak peoples.
