Baku: A worker employed by a private demining company was injured in a landmine explosion in Azerbaijan's formerly occupied Khojavand district on Saturday, the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) said. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the incident occurred while 41-year-old Ahad Ahadov was carrying out humanitarian mine clearance operations. He was injured after triggering an anti-personnel mine during the course of his duties. Ahadov sustained injuries of varying severity and was evacuated to the district central hospital. ANAMA said his condition is satisfactory and his life is not in danger.
