Yerevan: Armenia probably took the railway issue into account when making commitments under TRIPP, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at a press conference on the results of the year, APA reports. The minister addressed concerns regarding the ownership of the railway section that passes through Armenia as part of the TRIPP project.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister highlighted that Russia has an existing agreement with Armenian railways, which remains valid until 2038. However, Armenia has clarified its position, indicating that the section of the railway involved in the TRIPP project does not belong to Russia. The rationale behind this position is that the railway in question did not exist at the time the agreement was signed, and consequently, it could not have been included in the original agreement.
