Vienna: Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, has emphasized the country’s commitment to constructive engagement within the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). Speaking at the 32nd Meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Vienna, Bayramov outlined Azerbaijan’s principled and pragmatic foreign policy approach as a basis for this commitment.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Bayramov highlighted the importance of cooperative solutions and constructive dialogue in achieving meaningful outcomes. Despite acknowledging the organization’s shortcomings, he reiterated Azerbaijan’s belief in the OSCE’s role, citing its comprehensive security concept and broad membership. However, he stressed the need for the organization to adapt and deliver tangible results to maintain its relevance.

Bayramov further asserted that only through cooperative solutions can effective results be achieved. He underscored the importance of the consensus principle as a fundamental feature of collective efforts and a cornerstone of the OSCE’s decision-making process. Emphasizing Azerbaijan’s openness, he expressed readiness for constructive engagement with all OSCE Participating States to address challenges impacting the organization’s functionality and efficiency.
