Baku: A commission, operating under the instructions of the President regarding Azerbaijanis who are remaining in difficult situations in Syria and Iraq exists. Regular work is ongoing, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, in his statement to journalists, APA reports. He noted that the finding and repatriation of hundreds of women and children has been carried out: ‘Our efforts will continue until the last Azerbaijani woman and child in difficult situations is found.’

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the commission’s efforts are focused on locating and bringing back Azerbaijani citizens who are stranded in challenging conditions in these conflict zones. The Minister emphasized that the initiative is a continuous process, highlighting the ongoing nature of the work being carried out by the commission. The commitment to ensuring the safety and return of these citizens remains a priority under the guidance of the President’s directives.
