Baku: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov addressed the press at a year-end conference, emphasizing that the tensions between Azerbaijan and Russia are not linked to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Minister Bayramov highlighted Azerbaijan's consistent foreign policy approach, as outlined by President Ilham Aliyev. Bayramov stated that while Azerbaijan has allies and strategic partners, relations are governed by clear frameworks and international law. He reiterated Azerbaijan's unwavering support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty amidst the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Furthermore, he clarified that Azerbaijan's position on the tensions with Russia remains independent of the Russia-Ukraine war.

Bayramov also addressed Azerbaijan's stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict, advocating for a two-state solution. He underscored the importance of the Palestinian issue to the Islamic and Arab worlds and noted Azerbaijan's strong diplomatic ties with both Israel and Palestine, built on mutual respect and principles.

Additionally, the minister discussed the ongoing challenges related to landmines in territories liberated from occupation, cautioning that the threat of mines will persist for many years. He urged the public to avoid entering mine-contaminated areas without proper authorization.
