Baku: The connection of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan and the project known as the Zangezur Corridor, internationally referred to as TRIPP (Transport Route for International Peace and Prosperity), holds significant importance for Azerbaijan's exports. The project is also expected to enhance the efficiency of the Middle Corridor and strengthen connectivity between Central Asian countries, China, Trkiye, and Europe, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov stated during a dialogue held within the framework of the Islamic Development Bank Annual Meetings in Baku.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Mikayil Jabbarov emphasized the strategic focus on transport and logistics in one of the two industrial zones established in the liberated territories. He noted that agriculture and tourism are being developed as traditional sectors. However, industrialization remains a key area, with the Aghdam Industrial Park, despite being relatively new, already ranking second in the country in terms of the number of residents. Jabbarov highlighted the importance of maintaining a combination of state investments alongside growing interest from the private sector, including foreign investors.
