Baku: Last month, the amount of money transferred from Azerbaijan to Georgia amounted to 3.57 million US dollars, APA’s local bureau reports, citing the report of the National Bank of Georgia. This indicator increased by 5% compared to the previous month, but decreased by 9.57% compared to the same period last year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Azerbaijan’s share in total money transfers from abroad to Georgia in October was 1.12%. On the other hand, 6.95 million US dollars were sent from Georgia to Azerbaijan, representing a significant increase of 49.4% when compared to the previous year’s figures.

Cumulatively, from January to October of this year, money transfers from Azerbaijan to Georgia amounted to 33.7 million US dollars. In contrast, the money flowing in the opposite direction, from Georgia to Azerbaijan, totaled 53.2 million US dollars.
