Baku: President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic has sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports. The letter marks the occasion of May 28, Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and conveys Milatovic's best wishes for the country's continued progress and prosperity.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Milatovic emphasized the traditionally close and friendly relations between Montenegro and Azerbaijan, which are built on mutual respect, trust, and understanding. He noted the good cooperation between the two countries in various areas of common interest and expressed confidence in further enhancing these ties for the mutual benefit of both nations.

In his letter, Milatovic expressed his belief that the partnership and friendship between Montenegro and Azerbaijan will continue to strengthen, serving as a model of constructive cooperation and sincere bilateral relations. He also mentioned his plans to visit Azerbaijan later this year to engage in direct communication and discuss the future of interstate relations.

Milatovic concluded the letter by extending assurances of his highest consideration and esteem to President Aliyev.
