More Than 300 Rebels Defect to Sudanese Army

Baku: More than 300 fighters from the rebel movement "Rapid Reaction Forces" (RRF) have defected to the Sudanese army. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the group, consisting of 318 fighters, is led by Major General Musa Ali Ahmed. They arrived in the city of Ad-Dabba in the Northern State with approximately 50 combat vehicles carrying weapons and other military equipment.

Major General Musa Ali Ahmed stated that the decision to leave the Rapid Reaction Forces was driven by the lack of institutional governance within the group. He expressed that his unit is prepared to collaborate with the Sudanese army to achieve unity and stability in Sudan.

The defectors were greeted by Colonel Mohammed Saleh Yunis, who is the commander of the border troops. He encouraged other RSF fighters to join the Sudanese armed forces. The Rapid Reaction Forces have not commented on the reports regarding the defection of this unit.
