Baku: More than 5.5 million tons of cargo were handled at the Baku Port of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) in January-August this year, ADY said, APA-Economics reports. This marks a significant increase of approximately 3% compared to the same period last year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the same period, the port managed over 85,000 TEU of containers, which is an increase of 22% compared to the first eight months of last year when 69,855 TEU were handled. Specifically, in August 2026, the port handled 12,900 TEU, reflecting a 39% increase compared to August of the previous year.
