Shamakhi: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, accompanied by First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, visited the newly established Nasimi Gardens complex in the Shamakhi district. The visit was reported by APA, highlighting the significance of the new facility designed to enhance tourism and recreational activities in the region.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Anar Alakbarov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, provided detailed information to the president and the first lady about the various features and services offered at the complex. The Nasimi Gardens complex is envisioned as a multifunctional hub, offering leisure, cultural, and recreational opportunities to both residents and tourists. It aims to boost the tourism potential of Shamakhi while preserving its natural character and providing a comfortable environment for family recreation.

The complex's main building serves as an information and tourism center, featuring the Capybara Cafe and a souvenir shop. Visitors are welcomed to explore tourist routes and services available at Nasimi Gardens. A separate four-story building houses a museum showcasing Shamakhi's historical and cultural heritage, along with a main restaurant, event hall, and terrace.

The Magic Village section includes themed hobbit-style houses, cafes, a children's playground, and an observation tower. These facilities are built to accommodate year-round tourism. Additionally, Capybara Land, Azerbaijan's first specialized capybara farm, allows visitors to interact closely with the animals.

Art enthusiasts can enjoy over 100 artworks and installations from Azerbaijani and international artists throughout the complex. A prominent feature is a 21-meter-tall modern monument dedicated to Azerbaijani poet Imadaddin Nasimi, visible from various points in Shamakhi.

The Nasimi Gardens complex also includes residential cottages, a mosque, and extensive greenery with over 150,000 trees and plants, including fast-growing species like paulownia. The visit by President Aliyev and First Lady Aliyeva underscores the strategic importance of the complex in promoting cultural and tourism development in Shamakhi.
