Baku: Murad Guliyev has been summoned to the Prosecutor General’s Office, APA reports, citing Ictimai Television.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, an official notification was sent to Guliyev Murad Gudrat, inviting him to the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office. This action is in compliance with Article 467-13.4 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The notification specifies that Guliyev is required to present himself at the Investigation Department located at 160 Suleyman Sani Akhundov Street, Binagadi District, Baku City, at 10:00 on November 24 of this year.
A decision has been made to charge Murad Guliyev under Article 281.1 of the Criminal Code. He is currently wanted due to fleeing the investigation and hiding outside Azerbaijan’s borders. A Binagadi District Court decision dated February 15 placed him under arrest in absentia.
On September 12, additional charges were brought against Guliyev under Article 281.2 of the Criminal Code, with modifications made to the indictment’s content.
It has been noted that on September 23, 2019, via the Facebook page “Murad Guliyev” and on December 24, 2023, on the YouTube channel “RaffNaff”, Guliyev, along with others, allegedly published open calls for the use of force against the legally constituted government of Azerbaijan.
The accused has been warned that if he fails to comply with the summons, legal proceedings may occur in absentia, potentially leading to a verdict or other court decision being issued without his presence.
