National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s 103rd Anniversary Marked in Paris

Paris: The 103rd anniversary of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev was commemorated in Paris.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the memorial event was organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in France and featured speeches from key figures including Ambassador Leyla Abdullayeva, Azerbaijan's Permanent Delegate to UNESCO Elman Abdullayev, and the Military Attach© of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in France, Colonel Javid Abdullayev. They underscored Heydar Aliyev's leadership in navigating Azerbaijan through complex historical and political challenges and his unwavering commitment to the country's independence.

The event highlighted that due to Heydar Aliyev's strategic vision, Azerbaijan has become a regional stabilizing force. His leadership was pivotal in establishing Azerbaijan's cooperative ties with UNESCO and other major international organizations, as well as securing membership in numerous global institutions.

Speakers at the event further noted that modern Azerbaijan, steadily progressing along the path of sustainable development, is a testament to Heydar Aliyev's life's work. The policies he initiated are being effectively continued by President Ilham Aliyev.

The commemoration reiterated that modern independent Azerbaijan, described as Heydar Aliyev's masterpiece, regained its sovereignty and territorial integrity under President Ilham Aliyev's leadership during the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020 and subsequent anti-terror measures in 2023.

The event concluded with an acknowledgment of President Ilham Aliyev's continued implementation of Heydar Aliyev's political vision, leading Azerbaijan through a period of exceptional strength and influence on the international stage. The cherished memory of Heydar Aliyev, who dedicated his life to serving the Azerbaijani people and remains a source of national pride, was honored with gratitude. A film celebrating the life and legacy of the National Leader was also screened.
