Natural Gas Prices Surge in Europe by Over 13%

Amsterdam: Natural gas prices in Europe have surged by more than 13%. At the close of trading yesterday, the price of gas in Europe exceeded $450 per 1,000 cubic meters.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, on January 16, the price of February futures based on the TTF index, which is the Netherlands' Title Transfer Facility and Europe's most liquid virtual trading hub, amounted to $451.6. This marks a 13.4% increase compared to the previous settlement price of $398.4.

It is noteworthy that since December 31, 2020, Azerbaijani gas has been transported to Europe through the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).
