Baku: A graduation ceremony for the latest Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Course took place at one of the military units of the Naval Forces, as reported by the Ministry of Defense to AZERTAC. The event began with a moment of silence to honor the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and the Martyrs who lost their lives for the nation, followed by the performance of the National Anthem. According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, First Deputy Commander of the Naval Forces and Chief of Staff, 1st grade Captain Teymur Murshudov, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of the course and extending his best wishes to the graduates for their future military service. He underscored the critical nature of the training in preparing personnel to safely handle and dispose of explosive ordnance. Speakers at the ceremony drew attention to the threats posed by explosive materials, ammunition, and unexploded ordnance to human life. They highlighted the necessity of avoiding contact with h azardous objects and urged immediate communication with the appropriate explosive ordnance disposal team upon discovery of such items. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates and commemorative gifts to the graduates who successfully completed the course.
