Baku: A delegation from Trkiye, comprising representatives of the country's media outlets, visited the Alley of Honors and the 'Turkish Martyrdom' monument in Baku. The visit was part of a program titled "Geography of Peace: Garabagh - Reconstruction, Stability and Regional Cooperation in the South Caucasus," which was jointly organized by the Trkiye-Azerbaijan Friendship, Cooperation and Solidarity Foundation (TADIV) and the Intercultural Network Association (INA).
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Turkish journalists began their visit by paying tribute and placing flowers at the graves of Azerbaijani heroes. These individuals sacrificed their lives for the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. This act of remembrance reflects the deep ties and shared history between the two nations.
Subsequently, the delegation visited the 'Turkish Martyrdom' monument, a site dedicated to commemorating the brave Turkish soldiers who lost their lives in the battles for the liberation of Baku from the Bolshevik-Armenian Dashnak troops in 1918. The visit underscored the historical significance of the monument and the enduring friendship between Trkiye and Azerbaijan.
