Ankara: A delegation from Azerbaijan, led by Tahir Budagov, Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) and Head of the Central Administration, visited Ankara, Trkiye. The visit was made at the invitation of the Turkish ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) to partake in an event marking December 15 – World Turkic Language Family Day.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event saw the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who participated in the presentation of the Turkic World Vision Document. Krsad Zorlu, AK Party Deputy Chairman and head of relations with Turkic states, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the concept’s main objective to strengthen relations among Turkic states and to foster a shared future for the Turkic world.
President Erdogan articulated the significance of the document, describing it as an important guide encapsulating centuries of knowledge, experience, and aspirations of the Turkic peoples. He highlighted that the new vision document aims to deepen integration among Turkic states and enhance multidimensional cooperation within a more robust institutional framework. The core areas of focus include economic development, moral and cultural solidarity, strategic cooperation, and regional security.
In the preparation of the document, President Erdogan noted the consideration of existing international agreements, bilateral and multilateral collaborations, as well as regional and global developments. The document was guided by the institutional structure of the Organization of Turkic States, political and economic transformations within the Turkic world, foreign policy perspectives, and national interests.
President Erdogan also underscored the importance of the UNESCO General Conference decision in Samarkand, which designated December 15 as World Turkic Language Family Day, emphasizing the responsibilities of Turkic states in this regard. Tahir Budagov, as part of his visit, attended an official banquet hosted by Krsad Zorlu in honor of the event participants.
