By order of President Ilham Aliyev dated December 28, Rashad Ismayilov was relieved of the post of Azerbaijani ambassador to Qatar.

By another order of the head of state, Mahir Aliyev was appointed Ambassador to Qatar.

Previously, M. Aliyev was the ambassador of Azerbaijan to the UAE, and before that – to Algeria
