Baku: On June 4, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with Bernard Klingl, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the meeting, Ambassador Klingl presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Bayramov, who congratulated him on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, discussions between the two officials focused on developing the existing friendly relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Brazil. Emphasis was placed on the importance of intensifying political dialogue, mutual visits, and consultations to further expand bilateral relations.
The meeting also explored opportunities for enhancing cooperation in numerous sectors, including trade, investment, energy, agriculture, tourism, aviation, education, culture, sports, and high technologies. Both parties discussed the activities of the Joint Working Group on Trade and Investment Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Brazil and the potential for strengthening economic ties. They highlighted the significance of expanding the legal framework between the two countries.
Furthermore, cooperation within international organizations, such as the United Nations, was a topic of discussion, with a focus on opportunities for interaction in multilateral diplomacy. The conversation underscored the importance of continuing cooperation on the climate agenda and COP processes.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
