Tashkent: The new building of the National Pedagogical University named after Nizami Ganjavi is set to be inaugurated in Uzbekistan, along with the construction of an Azerbaijan Park. This announcement was made by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during the third meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as reported by APA's special correspondent.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Mirziyoyev emphasized the deep-rooted historical and cultural ties between the two nations, underscoring the importance of preserving and enriching their shared heritage. He highlighted the significance of organizing cultural exchange events not only in the capitals but also across various regions of both countries.

President Mirziyoyev further elaborated on the collaborative initiatives between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, including the inauguration of the new university building and the launch of the Azerbaijan Park in New Tashkent. He also proposed the production of a joint film titled 'Literary Bridge Between Nizami Ganjavi and Alisher Navoi' to strengthen cultural bonds, particularly among the younger generation.

Additionally, the president expressed support for organizing a series of films that explore the historical connections and rapprochement of the Uzbek and Azerbaijani peoples. He also announced plans to host the second forum of rectors from leading higher education institutions of both countries in Azerbaijan this autumn, reinforcing educational collaboration.
