KALBAJAR, Azerbaijan – Media representatives toured the newly inaugurated ‘Yukhari Vang’ Hydroelectric Power Plant on the Tartar River, a key component of Azerbaijan’s initiative to transform liberated areas into hubs of green energy.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, it was highlighted that the plant, with a capacity of 22.5 megawatts, represents a significant step towards sustainable development in the Kalbajar district following its liberation. The project was developed by “AzerEnergy” OJSC under the strategic direction of President Ilham Aliyev. The power station not only contributes to the region’s energy needs but also promotes economic growth and environmental sustainability. Furthermore, it is expected to provide substantial employment opportunities for local residents, playing a crucial role in the area’s post-conflict recovery and development.
