New Tourism Ambassador Program to Boost Azerbaijan’s Global Image

Baku: During 2026-2030, it is planned to establish a Tourism Ambassador Program for the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the country's global presence and attract more international visitors.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the program is outlined in the Action Plan of the 'State Program for the Development of Tourism in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030,' which was officially sanctioned by a Presidential Order on August 20, 2026. The program includes organizing promotional visits to Azerbaijan with the aid of tourism ambassadors, launching campaigns on social media and digital platforms, and selecting at least one world-renowned figure to serve as a Tourism Ambassador.

Additionally, the strategy aims to produce a minimum of five collaborative digital content pieces, striving for at least 50 million views and significant reach metrics. This ambitious initiative reflects Azerbaijan's commitment to positioning itself as a leading travel destination in the coming years.
