Baku: 'I invite partner institutions from Turkic states to announce joint grant competitions for NGOs," said Fuad Mammadov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Agency on State Support to NGOs, at the 2nd Cooperation Forum of NGOs of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Mammadov emphasized the agency's readiness to launch joint grant competitions for NGOs with Turkic states on both bilateral and multilateral bases. He stated that the mechanism for such competitions is straightforward, with each party organizing the competition according to their local norms and requiring NGOs to implement projects in the relevant partner country.
Mammadov recounted the recent informal Summit meeting in Kazakhstan, where the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States underscored unity, strength, and solidarity. He highlighted President Ilham Aliyev's words, asserting the importance of the Turkic world as a unified entity with vast geography, economic resources, and shared cultural roots.
Additionally, Mammadov, a culturologist by profession, stressed the significance of a highly cultured society in enhancing the power of the Turkic world. He pointed out the historical importance of the First Turkology Congress, initiated by an order from President Aliyev, as a pivotal moment in the cultural integration of Turkic peoples. Furthermore, he announced the upcoming 'Week of the Turkic World' event in Baku, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkology Congress, as a key cultural milestone.
