Yerevan: Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has made a firm declaration regarding the drafting of the country's new Constitution. Pashinyan stressed that the new Constitution should not include a reference to the Declaration of Independence. This stance marks a significant shift in the country's approach to its foundational document and the historical movements associated with it.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Pashinyan explained the rationale behind his position, stating that the inclusion of the Declaration of Independence in the new Constitution's preamble could be interpreted as a continuation of the Garabagh movement. Pashinyan highlighted that he has consistently spoken against continuing the Garabagh movement, underscoring the importance of this perspective in the context of drafting the new Constitution.
