Baku: The Ministry of Health has confirmed that there have been no cases of foot-and-mouth disease among people in Azerbaijan. This statement comes in response to rumors about a student, Elnara Hajiyeva, at Anadolu University’s Baku branch, allegedly contracting the disease.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Ministry clarified that no cases of foot-and-mouth disease have been recorded among humans in Azerbaijan for the past 30 years. Officials emphasized that the country currently has no detected infections of this disease among its population. They urged citizens to rely only on official sources for information and requested media outlets to publish verified information to prevent unnecessary public alarm.
