Baku: The Non-Aligned Movement Youth Week offers an important platform for open, sincere, and intergenerational dialogue, said Leyla Hasanova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organization and Youth Climate Champion for COP29, at the opening ceremony of the 2nd edition of the Youth Week of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Baku.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Leyla Hasanova emphasized that the Youth Day in Azerbaijan was established in 1997 at the initiative of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. This decision clearly reflects the high appreciation the Government attaches to young people.
Hasanova highlighted that the Youth Week will feature discussions on developing diplomacy in uncertain times, sustainability and energy transition, urban planning, as well as the skills necessary for young people to build careers in international and policy-oriented fields.
