Baku: The number of active digital banking users in Trkiye has increased significantly in recent years, exceeding 129 million, Secretary General of the Banks Association of Trkiye Nurullah Bakir said during his speech at the 10th International Finance and Banking Summit held in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Bakir highlighted the dramatic rise in digital banking engagement, noting that the number of active users was approximately 51 million in 2019. Currently, this figure has more than doubled, surpassing 129 million.

He also emphasized that mobile banking usage has seen a 200% increase during the same period. Bakir stated that these statistics indicate digital transformation is no longer a future aspiration but has become an essential aspect of daily life.
