Secretary General Highlights Surge in Electronic Payment Transactions in Trkiye

Baku: The volume of transactions carried out through electronic payment systems in Trkiye has surpassed cash payment transactions by nearly 20 times, Secretary General of the Banks Association of Trkiye, Nurullah Bakir, announced during his speech at the 10th International Finance and Banking Summit in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Bakir emphasized the rapidly increasing demand for electronic payment systems, largely driven by digitalization. He highlighted the importance of innovative and secure solutions in the financial systems of various countries.

Bakir pointed to Trkiye's domestic payment system, TROY, as a successful example of such innovation. He noted that the development of TROY showcases the potential for creating solutions that cater to regional needs through robust cooperation and strategic vision.
