Number of Countries and Delegations Set for III CIS Games in Azerbaijan

Baku: The number of countries and delegations confirmed to participate in the 3rd CIS Games, hosted by Azerbaijan, has been announced, the Baku City Circuit informed APA. A total of 2,313 delegates from 12 countries are set to take part in the competition.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Azerbaijan will be represented by 349 athletes. Russia will send 262 athletes, while Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will be represented by 259 and 254 athletes, respectively. Belarus will have 240 participants, Tajikistan 144, Turkmenistan 48, and Kyrgyzstan 126. Additionally, Kuwait will send 6 athletes, Trkiye 38, and the recently confirmed participants, Pakistan and Oman, will each be represented by 4 athletes.

The 3rd CIS Games will occur from September 28 to October 8 across seven cities in Azerbaijan, including Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Sheki, Goygol, and Khankendi. Competitions are scheduled to be held at 12 sports venues. Athletes and official delegates from CIS member states and invited countries are expected to participate in the Games.
