Berlin: An official welcome ceremony was held in Berlin for President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on July 21. The ceremony was conducted with full honors, marking the importance of the visit.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Ilham Aliyev was welcomed by Federal Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz. During the ceremony, members of the German delegation were introduced to President Aliyev, and members of the Azerbaijani delegation were introduced to Chancellor Merz.

The chief of the guard of honor reported to both leaders, following which the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Germany were played. President Aliyev and Chancellor Merz then proceeded to inspect the guard of honor, signifying the formal start of the visit.
