Baku: The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has expressed condemnation over the targeting of Azerbaijan's territory by Iranian drones. One drone reportedly struck the Nakhchivan airport building, while another landed near a school, as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the General Secretariat criticized the attacks on civilian facilities, which pose a threat to civilians and violate Azerbaijan's sovereignty. The OIC emphasized its support for Azerbaijan in upholding its sovereignty, security, and stability.
The OIC urged for an immediate halt to such provocative actions, warning that they could escalate tensions and destabilize the region. The organization highlighted that targeting member states or threatening their security breaches international law and contradicts principles of good neighborliness and mutual respect.
