Vienna: The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has announced its forecast for the average daily global oil demand for 2026-2027, APA-Economics reports, citing OPEC's monthly report.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the average daily global oil demand next year will amount to 107.87 million barrels, a slight increase from the previous forecast of 107.86 million barrels. This figure represents an increase of 1.34 million barrels over the forecast for 2026.
The forecast further indicates that this year's average daily global oil demand is expected to reach 106.53 million barrels, slightly up from the previous forecast of 106.52 million barrels. This is an increase of 1.38 million barrels compared to the 2025 figure, which stood at 105.15 million barrels.
It is notable that in 2024, the average daily global oil demand amounted to 103.84 million barrels.
