Baku: The world is not only undergoing an era of transition but also experiencing a period of collapse, according to Ismail Serageldin, Co-Chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC). Speaking at a press conference dedicated to the 13th Baku Global Forum, Serageldin emphasized that the rules-based multilateral international order has suffered a significant blow.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Serageldin stressed the importance of adhering to essential principles such as human rights, equality, poverty and hunger eradication, and environmental protection. He also highlighted the need for responsibility towards one another, shared solidarity, biodiversity protection, and ensuring water and food security.

Serageldin noted that the Global Baku Forum is taking place at a critical moment when the wisdom and extensive experience of its participants are crucial. He called for leveraging their imagination and willingness to find innovative solutions to the challenges faced by the global community.
