Baku: 'The total population of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is approaching to 180 million, and the gross domestic product is nearing $2.1 trillion with an average annual growth rate of 5 percent. These figures underscore a significant opportunity for strengthening trade relations,' said Cevdet Yilmaz, Turkish Vice President, as he addressed the meeting of the Heads of Government/Vice President of the Member States of Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Baku.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Turkish Vice President highlighted that in 2024, the total volume of exports between OTS member and observer countries reached $35.3 billion, which accounts for 6.1 percent of the total exports of these countries on a global scale.
The Turkish Vice President further emphasized that during the same period, the OTS countries have demonstrated their global economic significance by achieving a turnover of approximately $1.2 trillion in trade worldwide.
