Osh - The deputies of the Osh City Council have passed a vote of no confidence against the city's mayor, Bakytbek Zhetigenov. This decision was announced during a session of the City Council.
According to 24.kg News Agency, the move to pass a vote of no confidence in the mayor came after deputies expressed concerns that the City Hall was not complying with the resolutions of the Osh City Council. Initially, the question of passing a vote of non-confidence was put to a vote, receiving majority support from the deputies. This was followed by a secret ballot, resulting in 39 deputies voting in favor and 3 against the motion.
It is important to note that the mayor of Osh is appointed and dismissed by the President of Kyrgyzstan.
