Ankara: Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), met with Akin Grlek, the Turkish Minister of Justice, in Ankara. Secretary General Omuraliev congratulated Minister Grlek on his recent appointment and expressed his sincere wishes for success in his new and significant role.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing collaboration in the justice sector, promoting the rule of law, and facilitating the exchange of legal expertise among Turkic States. Both parties emphasized the importance of joint initiatives aimed at improving judicial cooperation, harmonizing legal frameworks, and supporting capacity-building programs among member and observer states.
Secretary General Omuraliev underlined the necessity of deeper institutional cooperation in the justice sector to support the Organization's broader objectives, which include regional integration, good governance, and sustainable development. Both sides expressed their commitment to maintaining close cooperation and exploring new opportunities for collaboration in the field of justice within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
