OTS Secretary General Predicts Surge in Cargo Volumes Along Middle Corridor

Baku: 'Efforts are underway to ensure the opening of the Zangezur corridor in the near future,' said Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliev at the meeting of prime ministers of the OTS member states held in Baku, APA reports. He highlighted the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor amidst the current geopolitical climate and projected that cargo volumes along this vital route could reach up to 10 million tons.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Omuraliev emphasized the proven efficiency of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, which is a key component of the Middle Corridor. He mentioned that heads of state are consistently directing efforts to launch block trains, and work in this direction continues to progress.
