Over 2,300 People Evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan Amidst Crisis

Baku: A total of 2,309 people have been evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan between February 28 at 08:00 and March 13 at 10:00.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, out of those evacuated, 403 individuals are Azerbaijani citizens.

The evacuation process also included 686 Chinese citizens and 294 Russian nationals. Additionally, 178 citizens from Tajikistan and 140 from Pakistan were part of the evacuations. Other evacuees included 68 Indonesians, 57 Omanis, and 44 Italians. Among those evacuated were 33 Iranians, 26 Spaniards, and 25 Algerians.

Furthermore, 18 Saudi Arabians, 17 Japanese, 16 each from France and Germany, and 13 each from Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Nigeria were evacuated. The list also included 12 Hungarians, 12 Polish, and 11 each from Switzerland and Mexico. Ten citizens each from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Canada were also evacuated.

Moreover, evacuees included people from the United Kingdom, Brazil, the UAE, Slovakia, Belgium, Romania, India, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Afghanistan, Austria, Greece, Jordan, Bangladesh, Trkiye, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Kuwait, Bahrain, the United States, Finland, and the Netherlands. Smaller numbers were evacuated from countries like Qatar, the Philippines, Croatia, Denmark, Australia, Nepal, Lebanon, Yemen, Kyrgyzstan, Sweden, Sudan, Cyprus, and Slovenia.

One citizen each from Tunisia, South Africa, the Maldives, Myanmar, Cuba, the Vatican, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia, Egypt, and Belize was also part of the evacuation.
