Baku: Over 4.2 million tons of cargo is set to be transported through the Middle Corridor in 2025, as per the freight transportation plan. This was disclosed by Gaidar Abdikerimov, the Secretary General of the International Association Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), during an interview with journalists in Baku.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Abdikerimov detailed that of the anticipated cargo volume, 2.5 million tons will be comprised of dry cargo, while the remaining 1.7 million tons will be oil cargo. This marks a significant increase from last year when 3.332 million tons of cargo were transported via the Middle Corridor, including 1,857 thousand tons of dry cargo.
The announcement coincided with the meeting of the General Assembly of the “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” International Association of Legal Entities, which was held today in Baku.
