Azerbaijan Explores Integrated Border Crossing with Trkiye

Baku: Azerbaijan is set to analyze the potential for establishing an integrated border crossing point with Trkiye as part of a broader initiative to enhance the efficiency of state services related to border trade. A Roadmap on Increasing the Efficiency of State Services on Border Trade for 2025 has been approved by the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Roadmap outlines that by May 1 of this year, an analysis will be conducted to explore the feasibility of creating this integrated border crossing point. The findings of this analysis will be submitted to the Commission for further consideration.

The Roadmap also details plans to establish an “Electronic Single Window” information system by November 1 of this year. This system aims to digitalize activities in import-export, transit, transportation, and logistics sectors. Furthermore, by December 1, state entities are expected to be integrated into the “Electronic Single Window” system.

By September 1, 2025, additional measures are planned to facilitate the signing of a unified legal framework for logistics services. This includes the implementation and enhancement of the “Digital Customs Value” system, aimed at determining customs value using digital solutions within an accurate and transparent legislative framework.
