Baku: A total of 5,543 earthquakes have been recorded in Azerbaijan this year. This information was announced at a joint meeting of the Department of Earth Sciences of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Republican Seismological Service Center.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, it was noted that 8,993 earthquakes were recorded in Azerbaijan and adjacent areas. In addition, 2,400 underground explosions were recorded, highlighting the seismic activity in the region.
