Baku: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his happiness over the strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. In a message to the Azerbaijani leadership, he extended heartfelt congratulations on their national achievements and emphasized the positive trajectory of cooperation between the two nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Prime Minister highlighted his visits to Azerbaijan, which took place in February and May for bilateral meetings, in July for the 17th ECO Summit in Khankendi, and in November for the Victory Day Parade in Baku. Each visit contributed to the enhancement of mutual admiration and understanding. The economic partnership is also on an upward trajectory, with a notable development being the finalization of a USD 2 billion investment by Azerbaijan in Pakistan, which is expected to have significant transformative impacts on both nations.

Furthermore, the establishment of the "Pakistan Asan Khidmat" (PAK) Center in Islamabad is underway, inspired by the Asan Khidmat Center in Baku. This initiative aims to provide innovative, citizen-centric public service solutions, focusing on transparency, efficiency, and institutional integrity. The center is scheduled to be inaugurated by January 10, 2026, showcasing the effective collaboration between the two countries in enhancing public service delivery.

Prime Minister Sharif concluded his message with prayers for continued health and prosperity for the Azerbaijani leadership and its people, reaffirming the strong bonds and mutual benefits derived from this bilateral relationship.
